Identify Feature greyed out only in Google Chrome.
I'm using the HTML viewer and noticed today that the "Identify" button on the toolbar is greyed out, only in Google Chrome. I can use the identify feature through other menus, such as right clicking a feature and using the context menu. It's not greyed out in Microsoft I.E. or Firefox. Has anuyone encountered this before or have any suggestions?
Thank you,
Rene

Hi Rene,
I couldn't find anything similar in our system. Can you check the developer tools console (F12) and the viewer log (click and long hold in the banner area) and see if there are any related error messages? If you are not already on the latest versions of Chrome (55) or the HTML5 viewer (2.7.2) I would recommend upgrading if possible.

Thank you Wayne!! I do believe it was an issue with the version of chrome on my desktop. It seems to work on all other computers. Thanks again!! 0 -
I have one instance of this occuring on the identify, zoom in and zoom out buttons. I checked and we have the latest version of Chrome (66), and are running HTML5 version 2.10. Any thoughts?? 0 -
Hey Matt! Is there anything in the Dev Console? Such as a library not loading? 0 -
Hey Tom, I see these errors in the dev console
rightClickMenu.js:1 Uncaught SyntaxError: Invalid or unexpected token
Shells.js:1 GET https://map.co.clear-creek.co.us/Geocortex/Essentials/REST/sites/ClearMap/viewers/ClearMap_HTML5/virtualdirectory/Resources/Styles/Custom/common.css 500 (Internal Server Error)0 -
Hi Matt,
The common.css error can be ignored, the rightclick error is an issue. At one point, GVH did not have a builtin right click function and you added it by modifying the Desktop.json file. This code is no longer required (assuming you are on a new release) and should be removed. Feel free to submit a support ticket to help have this removed unless you are comfortable doing it yourself.

Thanks Wayne i'll work on removing the code.
I probably hadn't made it clear, but we were seeing this on a single pc (all other users were fine). Clearing the cache cleared up the issue. Thanks Tom for the insight!0
