shapefile import

Hello there,

 

The import shapefile tool on Essentials 4.4.3, GVH 2.5.2, adds some shapefiles, as  a drawing, but is not consistent. Some shapefiles are added while other shapefiles when added are not visble or not added at all. The ones I tested for upload have all the same projection / same geometry type ( polygon), as well as all the required default files(.shp,.shx,.dbf,.prj). Thought it was a visibility issue but when zooming some shapefiles don't seem to have imported. Any idea what causes some shape files to not be imported thru the " import shapefile tool"  and others not to be imported? Also can I get it to display on the layer list?

  Hi Oscar,

   

  Can you clarify the tool you are using? There is not a spcific 'import shapefile' tool for your version of GVH and GE. There is an 'upload data' tool which imports shapefiles, but this got implemented in a later version of GE (version 2.6). 

   

  Perhaps you are using a workflow which is triggered by this tool? If so, please follow up and we can work on this.

   

  Another option may be to upgrade your Essentials and Viewer so you can utilise the 'Upload Data' tool. This tool adds the uploaded shapefile to your site and it appears as a layer on the layer list.
