Format Shape.Area Field
Hi All
I am trying to format the Shape.Area field to hectares eg /10000. I assume this can be done by using the custom number format in Manager but I cant get the syntax right. Has anyone else been able to do this?
Cheers
Chris

Hi Chris,
The custom number format in Manager uses the formatting referenced here (minus the brackets and quotation marks seen in the examples): https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/0c899ak8(v=vs.110).aspx
Unfortunately there isn't an option there to divide by specified amounts. You should be able to divide by intervals of 1,000, or convert to percentages, but that's the closest we can get. If possible, I would recommend adding a new field in your data and use the field calculator in ArcMap to divide Shape.Area by 10,000. You could also post to our (https://support.geocortex.com/GSCIdeas?c=09a6000000008RsAAI&filter=1&categ=all&sub-nav=ideas&main-nav=essentials&page=1) Ideas board to request that we add some support for mathematical calculations when displaying numeric fields.
Hope that helps,
