Hide layers in silverlight viewer but not html
I have about 10 editable layers with workflows that can only work in a html 5 viewer. These layers are visible when the user signs in. However as they are published on a map service that also has a silverlight viewer, the editable layers are visible on this viewer when the users sign in.
I would like my users to only see the editable features on the html 5 viewer, but I don't want to create a new map service (mostly as it is managed by others who are reluctant to manage another map service).
I've tried to have my workflows turn on the layers which works fine but the layers won't show in the layer list if I make them invisble in geocortex manager (and have the workflow use setlayervisibility)
I've looked at layer themes but I assume this would be the same over two viewers
Otherwise, if none of this works if I could group my editable features into a grouping so if they show in silverlight the user can turn them off. However at the moment they only seem to be added to the map as a feature service one by one.
Any other options? the other issue is that the labels don't seem to carry over to a feature service, so I must include a map service to show labels?

Hi Sylvia,
It would be very difficult to have some layers optionally visible in one viewer but not the other, when both viewers belong to the same Site. It is really the Site that defines which layers are included.
One possible workaround would be to create a second Site just for the Silverlight users and have only the layers they may see in that Site.
Perhaps a better workaround would be to migrate to the HTML5 viewer for all users. Is there anything we could help with that would let you retire the Silverlight viewer?
