GVH 2.8 - Layer icon does not change after changing the layer symbol

GE 4.7 GVH 2.8

 

After I change symbol for a layer using the Layer Symbol Options window, the icon in the Layer List does not change. However the funny thing is after I revert the symbol back to the original symbol, then the icon in the Layer List changes. So either way the icon in the Layer List is incorrect when customizing layer symbols. I think this is a bug.

  By the way the symbols change fine on the map. The problem is only in the Layer List.

  Thank you for your note. We are aware of this issue and will be looking into it; however, I don't currently have a timeline on the fix.

  Has been happening to us, too, even before the upgrade. It's going to make my training video a little odd.

  Update: this issue is fixed in the 2.8.1 HTML5 viewer.

  I tried this with GVH 2.8.2. It seems the icons in the Layer List update only after opening the Visualization Options window again after applying custom symbols. This is what I am observing...

  1. Change the symbols and click Done, The icons in the Layer List are not changed.
  2. Open the Visualization Options window again (as if to change symbols), it seems to refresh after a few seconds, then the icons in the Layer List are changed.

  Can you reproduce this using our demo 2.9 viewer below? I tried and I cannot.
