GVH 2.8 - Is there way to indicate initial map loading progress?

GE 4.7 GVH 2.8

 

GVH 2.8 seems to load a lot faster than before, then wait for the map to load. However while waiting for the map to load, there is no indication, it just sit there (maybe 3 to 5 seconds) with blank map. I know we got many layers that slows things down, but if we can indicate to the users the map is still loading, then it would be a lot better. Is there a way to show some pregress while the map (not the site) is loading initially?

  Sometimes it does say "Loading..." at the bottom of the map. But it only display this message maybe 10% of the time. If it can display that message more consistently, it would be nice.

  The issue regarding the "Loading.." message appearing inconsistently has been added to our internal bug tracking as: GVH-14635.

  I have added you as a stakeholder to that issue.

  Thanks. When are they planning to fix it? This is stopping us from releasing this version since we are afraid that the users will think the site is broken as nothing happens for 5 to 10 seconds.

  As I mentioned in another thread (https://support.geocortex.com/essentialsGSCForum?sub-nav=forum&main-nav=essentials&feedtype=SINGLE_QUESTION_DETAIL&dc=Geocortex_Viewer_for_HMTL5&criteria=ALLQUESTIONS&id=90660000000Gu1KAAS) , I'm afraid a fix for that issue will not be in 2.8.1, but we are triaging it for 2.9.

  Update: we will have a fix for this issue in the 2.9 HTML5 viewer.
