Why can't I connect to a map service in Manager that I can see in my browser?

Essentials 4.6.3 HTML5 2.7.2

I can consume a map service in my browser, but I am not able to add the same connection to Rest Manager. Why is that?

I'm just looking into this. Our problem is that the behaviour is intermittent. The connection worked in Manager and am looking into why it stopped, while I can see the rest endpoint in my browser.

Sean, did you ever find a solution to this?

I am experiencing the exact same issue with a public FEMA map service. I can access it in browsers on the server machine Geocortex is sitting on, but Geocortex Essentials Manager isn't able to connect. The only error I get is "Connection failed". This is the exact map service I'm not able to get to within Manager: https://hazards.fema.gov/gis/nfhl/rest/services/public/NFHL/MapServer (https://hazards.fema.gov/gis/nfhl/rest/services/public/NFHL/MapServer) .

I am also using Essentials 4.6.3 & HTML5 2.7.2.
