layer catalog draw order/position
Hi All
Is there a way to set the draw order of an added Layer Catalog? By default when added it draws on top of everything, which makes sense as it the last service added.
However in my case the layer catalog I have set up is for imagery, so as a default I would prefer it to draw at the bottom of all the vector services. I realise that in 2.8 and above a user can reorder the services themselves, which is fine and does work .... but it would save some questions if I could do this by default.

Sry, we don't have this functionality with layer catalog. You will need to use layer reorder feature.0 -
Yes, according to what I read, the layer catalog layers are added to whatever folder you designate for user added layers to go in. If you edit the folder in Manager in the Layer List tab, you will see a check box to "Place user-added layers here:" I haven't ever used this, so don't know how well it actually works... 0 -
@Mike. The order of layers in layer list folders has no effect on their drawing order on the map. 0 -
Yes, just tried it out. I've just started playing with Layer Catalogs, and so far they don't seem ready for prime time... 0
