Migrating Complete Parcel Selection, Buffering, and Report Workflow to GE 4.7, HTML5 2.8
I am working on migrating the Parcel Selection, Buttering and Report workflow to work in GE 4.7 and HTML5 2.8. The problem I am having is that the highlights for the selections are not updating after the selection has been modified. I have removed the True/False values from the now obsolete 'Clear Collection First' setting. However, the newly set Combine Modes are not being respected in terms of the highlights. The data IS removing the selected parcel. For example, setting the combine mode of the 'Remove from Selection' does not reflect that a parcel has been removed from the selection via the highlight. So if there are 2 parcels selected and 1 is removed, 2 parcels are still highlighted until the end of the workflow, even though only 1 parcel label is generated.
Has anyone else experienced this or has a suggestion on how to fix this?

HI Stephanie,
There are a few things to check for this sort of behaviour- If you're using the "Highlight all features" mode for the viewer, there's a known issue with persisting highlights that might or might not apply (GVH-15822, see https://support.geocortex.com/essentialsGSCkba?sub-nav=kba&main-nav=essentials&#!/feedtype=SINGLE_ARTICLE_DETAIL&criteria=BESTANSWERS&id=kA360000000L1FUCA0).
- Are the highlights being applied from "SelectFeatures" or from another activity? (you can use the CommentOut activiy to temporarily comment out SelectFeatures and see if that's the case)
- Some of the highlighting viewer commands were deprecated in 2.8, so if the workflow uses RunExternalCommand to control highlighting behaviour, some of those commands might not work anymore.
- When the workflow completes and closes, the results list might re-highlight the features that it currenty lists. Check to see if the results list and the highlighted features match or not
- Make sure that the map service id and layer name/id in all SelectFeatures activities correctly match the layer in your site. If it doesn't, some of the combine modes might not work as expected
