Search animation not appearing

GE 4.6.3 and GVH 2.7.2

 

The animation next to the 'Search Results' text does not appear, making it look like no search is happening.

 

This only occurs for newly created sites.  Existing sites that were upgraded show the animation just fine.

 

Both of these viewers are using the same service (actually imported one from the other). Search "00101001":

It's like it's always set to inactive...

  Hi Dan, 

  I checked out your site, and it looks like the layer that is trying to be queried is currenlty inaccesible (at least for myself). That will rsult in the query completing almost immediately and not showing the loading animation.

  The map service url that is failing for me is: http://test.maps.cuyahogacounty.us/arcgis/rest/services/MyPLACE/Parcels_V_PGDB_TM_AP_FO/MapServer/1/

  I tried on one of my local viewers and the animation was appearing, I also checked to ensure that the loading animation was available on your server (and it was).

  Let me know if you are still experiencing the issue once the mapservice is back available and I can try looking into the issue again.

  Thanks Cory.  That map service is up and running and has been working fine in other viewers (like the other URL I provided).  Also, the result that does eventually get returned is coming from that service.

   

  I tried a different, similar service and the saw what you were seing: Fiddler shows no result being returned, but the result shows up in the Results list.

   

  I did revert back to the original service and the issue persists.  Fiddler shows everything is working, as far as I can tell.  Just no animation.

   

  That map service does take a bit to respond since it's querying 3 fields on 500,000+ parcels, but it does respond and the results show up...

  I've also tried creating a new site and using a different service.  Still no animation.

   

  Is it possible to redeploy the viewer template? Maybe there was an issue with the install?

  I moved the LayerQuerySearchProivder entry under 'searchProviders' in the configuration of the Search module to the top and the animation started working again.
