Why can't GE (GE 4.8, HTML5 2.9) connect to this map service (https://hazards.fema.gov/gis/nfhl/rest/services) ? It says "Connection Failed".
I get a connection failed for this map service. I'm simply trying to add it. It works everywhere else on my platform. It worked prior to a few weeks ago.

I had the same issue. That service went secure https://. I upgraded my dev site to https:// and performed the registry modifications shown below and all is well.
Here is what I received from GTX support:
"Those services use TLS 1.2 in their SSL configuration. Essentials was built on the .NET 4.0 Framework which does not support TLS 1.2. We have a workaround posted to our community via the link below. Please note you will need to edit your server registry and do a full system restart."

I have a distributed install - any insight into which component/server needs this attention? The Viewer host w/ IIS? The Essentials host? Both? 0 -
I started with just the Essentials host - that let me add the map service in Essentials Manager. However, I had to apply the fix to the web server hosting the Viewer as well to make it all work. Thanks Rick! 0
