shortcut to geocortex essentials manager does not work on server

I have installed a second instance of geocortex essentials manager on our public server and the shortcut from the start menu does not work for either the original instance or the new instance on the server. However, typing in the URL into an internet browser of either instance on the server directly on another workstation or does bring up the Rest Manager page for manager after entering credentials. The first instance is at version 4.6.1 and the second instance is at 4.8.2. Thanks for any assistance that can be provided.

  When you make Chrome your default browser, the shortcuts to both instances work. Is there a particular setting in IE that needs to change with the most recent version of manager?

  Hi Michelle, 

  What version of IE are you using? Do you receive any error messages, or does nothing happen?

   

  I am not aware of any settings that you need to change for Manager to start up in IE.
