How to disable/hide map tip window dynamically on clicking a layer ?

I have two layers overlapping each other both having map tips enable (To be kept enabled mandaotry). First layer is a small subset of second layer. Now whenever I click on first layer, I will get two map tips. I want to know whether it is possible to hide map tip of second layer only if I click on first layer, since both of them are overlapping each other.

  Hi, 

   

  If you have map tips enabled on both layers and the layers overlap, then you will always get both features in the map tip.

  The only way around this would be to turn off the map tips for the subset layer. Other then that I can't think of another workaround.
