Legend is not displaying for a WMS layer
Hi There,
I, Khan Kamruzzaman using a Gareth’s account have a question is outlined below.
I have added a WMS layer in Essential which shows the data on my map correctly, however it does not show the legend on table of content. When I add the WMS layer in QGIS it shows the legend correctly but my site don’t. My site shows a broken link icon on the layer name.
There is post on similar issue named “Legends not displaying “ by Software Support in Mar 27, 2013 but so far there is no answer on it.
Any help?

Hi Khan,
did you get an answer already. I'm also want to show a legend for a WMS layer.
I ask the staff of essentials to answer this question and not to ignore it.
Best regards,

Hi Ronnie,
No answer so far from anyone. I am still having the issue with legned for WMS layer.
We got some BOM (Bureau of Meteorology) data in WMS format but still struggling to show the legend for them in our sites.

Hi,
Our documentation states that an associated WFS is required with WMS in order for things like the Legend to work. I haven't tested it myself but if your service does have WFS and it still isn't working then I'd submit a support case.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I think WFS is not associated with the service we are using. I just wonder why the service does not show the legend in GE when it shows the legend correctly in QGIS. Anyway, I will create a support ticket for it.
