largest size print template supported?
Can someone explain to me how to determine the largest print template size that can be implemented in Geocortoex for the available scale ranges in the map (without GTX erroring out)?
For example, at 96 dpi (screen resolution or the default resolution), and the insanely large paper size of 420" x 215" (don't ask) and a scale of 1:125, I get an error that says, "Print error: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. Array dimensions exceeded supported range."
I can understand that the array of rasters that are to be returned is too big, but I would just like to know what my limitations are without having to do a ton of trial and error.
Can anyone explain this to me?
Thanks!

More info:
I looked at the json object passed as Form Data in the web request. It seems that the export Array size is 1339x590. Obviously, this is too large. What is the acceptable outsize array (max)?0 -
Hi Michael,
Printing is very memory intensive and it is hard to put an exact maximum allowance since it depends on disk space, RAM and CPU.
Have you configured your print template to use Large-Format printing? You can read the documentation about it here: https://docs.geocortex.com/essentials/reporting/4.9/help/Default.htm#rpt/help/printing.htm
Scroll down to the Large-Format printing section. If you have not already configured this, I suggest you give it a try. You may find that this will help you.
Thanks,

Thanks Ali,
That is helpful information. One question, though: The information in the help section you referenced seems to suggest that you can only go up to the allowed limits in paper size of a plotter (driver) in your environment. I want to go WAY beyond this kind of size. I actually want to go to something like 4000"x2000." It seems to me that the applicable limitation is really in the making a pdf (which, I assume, is almost limitless). Is the size really limited by the available sizes in your available plotter drivers?0 -
In Report Designer, with Report Settings > Printer Settings > Paper Size > Custom paper, you can define a custom size. 0
