how to make a deployable launch shortcut for GE viewers that can be used on iOS
How can I make launch shortcuts for GE viewers that can be used on mobile devices, specifically on iOS? I want to launch GE through the mobile device management software, so the users can feel like they are opening an app and we can manage who has access better.

Hi,
I recommend reviewing this section of documentation as there are a number of ways you can create shortened URLs.
https://docs.geocortex.com/essentials/gvh/2.10/admin-help/Default.htm#gvh/admin/viewer-urls.htm#Short_Viewer_URLs%3FTocPath%3DViewer%2520URLs%7CShort%2520Viewer%2520URLs%7C_____0

Thanks Mike,
I am not looking to jsut shorten the URL, but create some custom icons (using this tutorial https://webdesign.tutsplus.com/articles/quick-tip-give-your-website-an-ios-home-screen-icon--webdesign-10067) and then deploying the site as an app to the home screen of the iOS device. Any suggestions for ectually deploying to iOS?0 -
Hi,
I don't believe you can create a short cut icon for a website that would display in the home screen on iOS. We do have our Geocortex Mobile Framework for iOS which is an app but it requires that you have an existing Apple Enterprise Developer account. I'd recommend reviewing the link below.

If you want to move forward with getting GMAF for iOS then you will need to email support@latitudegeo.com. Using an MDM (mobile device management) suite will complicate the process a bit as we will need to know if the MDM needs to sign the iOS application file.
Thanks,
