show cached basemap at non-cached scales

Bit of a funny question but I am sure I was able to do this before in the silverlight viewer

 

I have a cached Air Photo, I also have another basemap which is not cached.  Am I able to see the Cached Air Photo at scale levels it's not cached at?  Giving the user a more dynamic ability to use whatever cale they want.  If I am dreaming.. please tell me!

  You're not dreaming.  HTML5 can't go between cached scales at this point.  Something about ESRI needing to update Java or something.  Sounds like it should be coming soon, but don't know when.
