Change a Feature Description for Many Layers at once

Is there a way to change the feature description for many layers at once?

 

I have 57 Layers with the exact same schema and this would definitely be helpful.. as opposed to going into each one at a time everytime I need to adjust something.

  Hi Chris,

   

  There is no out-of-box method of doing bulk updates but if you're brave you can add the FD and FLD to the site.xml file directly.

   

  In the <Layers> section of the site.xml you can find the layer by looking for the desired DisplayName and paste the FeatureDescription and/or FeatureLongDescription in.  I would do the first change using Essentials Manager to get the appropriate URL encoding and then copy and paste the rest.

   

  As with any change like this, I would recommend taking a backup copy of the site.xml file before starting.
