Permissions not finding AD Group

I was trying to search for an AD group in the permissions section of our site and it appears the search bar is not able to bring up the result.

 

We have thousands of AD groups in our organization. When I search a common prefix for groups within the organization, which is a prefix for ~3000 groups, it returns 25 results. I understand this is probably just the top 25 results returned after sorting alphabetically.

 

But when I refine the search to include the prefix plus the first letter of the group name, only one result appears from the original 25 results. Almost as if it is not re-searching when I add the character. If I search for the full name I get no results.

  Hi Jared,

   

  For your first point, regarding 25 results, you are correct - the drop-down displays a maximum of 25 results, sorted alphabetically. 

   

  As the value in the search box changes, the drop-down list should update automatically. Adding characters will refine the search and shorten the list to only show matching entries, removing characters will broaden the search. If you are not seeing this expected behaviour, I recommend: 

   

  1) Ensure you are on the newest versions of GE and GVH. 

   

  2) If you are on the newest versions and still experiencing the issue, I recommend opening a support case for further analysis.
