Dynamically repointing report using script in Report Designer

Hi there,

 

I was hoping to create a single RPX with a map at the top and a subreport with data at the bottom that I could use for many different similarly-styled reports.  My hope was to specify a feature map name and a subreport path in the Properties associated with a report when adding it to a layer in the Geocortex Manager.  I would then have a (simple?) script in the RPX that fires on, say, ReportStart and changes the body_map data field and the subreport path based on the parameters I specified in the report config.  Has anyone done something like this?  I can't find much documentation regarding the report object model.

  Not sure if that's something you could do with a Template Report or not, but even if you can you'd still have to set up the report on every layer you want to run it on in GE Manager. Since you have to do that regardless of how the report workflow would work, I'm guessing it'd be much easier just to manage multiple RPX files with the feature map and subreport properties specified within them.
