Select Random Parcels and Calculate Acres or Square Meters Tool?

Is there a tool available that allows a user to calculate acres or square meters?

 

For example, a user selects six tax parcels in the map and wants to know the total acres or square meters for all six tracts.

 

Has a tool like this ever been created?
