Can I build relationships in Geocortex Essentials?

Can I build a relationship between a spatial layer and a non-spatial table directly in Geocortex Essentials without having to build it first in the geodatabase?

    You can configure a connection to your source db in a Site's "Data Connections" tab.  Once that connection is functioning, you go to your target layer's configuration in the "Site" tab and edit the appropriate layer.  The layer has a "Data Links" tab where you select your connection to the db and then SQL up the relationship that you want.

    @Zack what are the pros and cons of doing it this way vs in the GDB?

    With a datalink the destination object can be a view or a combination of tables (joined), with relationships the destination object should be a feature class of geodatabase table.
