Possible to invoke a Map Tip?

I have a workflow form that when launched from the Map Tip window and the form edits are submitted, the window remains visible, but its attributes become stale. What I would like is for the Map Tip window to refresh itself when the update is submitted. Is this possible, and if so, how can I make it do that? I do know how to hide Map Tips and Show Map Tips, but not how to refresh one.

  There's no refresh map tip command, but it sounds thus far like you can use the ShowMapTip command to acheive what you want.

  What also works to hide, is viewer command "DeactivateView" with command parameter "MapTipView".

  Zack, thanks, but I already have "HideMapTips" and "ShowMapTips" involved with no joy. Nico, I will give your idea a try once I work out the workflow bug I introduced yesterday.

  Bug smacked, so now in my Save Attributes sequence straight after UpdateFeatures, I've added a RunExternalCommand activity for "DeactivateView" command with "MapTipView" parameter, but the MapTIp window still comes back up with the old data.

   

  The MapTIp window comes back because DeactivateView is followed by RefreshMap and then ShowMapTips. I have the ShowMapTips because I had some time ago found that without it, MapTips didn't work on the map on next click. But just now I tried commenting out that ShowMapTips, and the result of course was the MapTips window was gone as expected, but I was able to click and get the MapTips window to come back with the updated attributes.

   

  But what I would prefer is for the MapTips window to come back on its own showing the new data. Is this even possible?

  Hi Justin,

   

  I realize this response is pretty late, but I think you can issue the ImvokeMapTip command with a geometry in or around your updated point to get the dialog to appear as expected.

  Greetings!

   

  We are also trying to figure out how to refresh the map tip.  We have an editing workflow that is launched from the map tip and updates a few attributes.  At the end of the workflow, the map tip still shows the old info.  Was anyone able to refresh the map tip so it shows the new updated attributes?
