Setting Permissions at Field Level for Editing

Hi,

 

I have an editable FeatureLayer. I add to my map, edit the layer to show all fields, include in Map Tips. I can edit a feature in the application (all fields). I'd like to restrict the edits to only a few fields, however, I do not have the Edit choice under the field in the Permissions section. This is what I have:

This what I want (pulled from video):

The security documentation (video) shows another level another each field where you can check/uncheck a box to enable/disable editing. How do I get that box to display?

  In case someone else has same issue. Here's how I fixed, with help from Geocortex support person.

   

  1. Need to add the following key and value to this file (default Location)

   

  C:\Program Files (x86)\Latitude Geographics\Geocortex Essentials\Default\REST Elements\Manager\web.config

   

   

   

  Key to add: <add key="gcx.security.enabledFieldEditPermissions" value="true" />

   

  2. Need to make sure that fields are added in the fields tab for the layer.

  FYI, this is an undocumented and unadvertised feature and has specific requirements.  If you have trouble with this feature please reference GE-9062 in any support calls.
