Extend an exisiting module?

I'm getting familar with TypeScript and I've been going through all the tutorials, samples, etc. It's been great!!! I've successfully been able to create my own modules, widgets, etc. I've even been able to create new instances of those classes, exdending upon the base classes.

 

However, I'd really like to extend exisiting modules or widgets. For instance, I'd like to extend the "Uploader" widget: geocortex.essentialsHtmlViewer.mapping.modules.uploadData.widgets.uploader.UploaderView

 

Is this possible?  If so, where is the TypeScript defintion files for these modules?

  Hi Mike,

   

  I think this is technically possible, however, we didn't build the viewer with the expectation that customers would want to extend the built-in modules.  Thus, there isn't any documentation I can refer you to, internal or otherwise, that would help you actually get this done.  

   

  I will check with our products team though to see if we have any plans to produce developer guides or documentation.
