GVH failsto show a menu of image in the footer

Hi All,

 

 

 

I am trying to add the footer module in HTML5 viewer.

I set the height for the footer module= 50 (positive value), and I added the text hyperlink by changing the footer menu properties on desktop.json.js file which can be found on the following location:

 

C:\Program Files (x86)\Latitude Geographics\Geocortex Essentials\Default\REST Elements\Sites\jifna\Viewers\x\VirtualDirectory\Resources\Config\Default\Desktop.json.js

However, I failed to show a menu of image in the footer, and I did not find the social footer menu as footer menu

  Hi Fatin,

   

  docs mention: iconUri: The image to display for the menu item. In order for the icon to show, the view's markup property must be set to Mapping/infrastructure/menus/MenuView.html.

   

  what I did: 

  1. add iconUri into fooermenu->one of items
  2. in FooterMenuView, set markup to Mapping/infrastructure/menus/MenuView.html

  How to make the icons appear in the same level as scale and coordinates? Is this possible?

  Hi Fatin,

   

  The footer module is intended to appear below the entire map frame, and not overlap the map at all.

   

  If you have a need to include configurable links that would exist on top of the map, and the Footer module does not meet those needs, please post to the Ideas section so we can consider it as a new feature.

  Please notice the following screenshot that I took from footer module page, which appears both icons in the same level as scale and coordinates.

  I failed to do so for my viewer.

  Please try setting ScalebarView and CoordinatesView's region to "LeftFooterRegion".

  Hi Longguang,

   

  Is it possible to add a tips for the icons in footer module as following screenshot instead of description?

   

  Kindly notice that the footer module is put on the leftmap region.

  Hi Fatin,

   

  I chat with our developer. For the footer menu item to have a tooltip, it doesn't have a way to configure in the configuration file. This will be a new feature. I would suggest that you can post your idea on the Ideas forum, or contact support team by email.
