Security in Geocortex Reporting + Geocortex Essentials

Can someone please clarify: if we deploy a report using the new Geocortex Reporting within Geocortex Essentials, can we limit access to the report to only users who have access to a given viewer (or even a layer within that viewer)? If so, can that security be tied to each of the Windows Integrated, EUM Identity Server, and Geocortex Identity Server?

  Hi Jamey,

   

  You can secure a Geocortex Report but it will not be integrated with the security for your Essentials Site.  They are independent.

   

  It is possible to limit who might be able to launch the report from the viewer, using a workflow that has permissions applied to it, but the report will still have its own security model.
