Give individual permissions to windows account
I have permissions set up on a site using Windows Integrated- Windows Group. Now, I would like to give a Windows Account permissions to edit. When I add the users name and give them permissions to the feature service it will not load that layer for them. The persons is also a member of the said Windows Group. Has anyone else experienced this or know a work around? I don't want to create a copy of the site and just have them on it doing edits. Thanks!

Hi Clarence,
Deny takes precedence with regards to permissions, if the user is in one group that is denied and another group that is allowed, the deny wins. Could this be the case?

You can change this behaviour. See the same topic. 0 -
Thanks! I was able to get it to work by adding the key mentioned in the section "Set User Permissions to Take Precedence Over Other Permissions". 0 -
if you dont want to modify the code of the site.xml, you can set the parent to restricted and the child to visible, for some reason this takes precedence over a restricted parent 0
