Collaboration Tool Notification

Our users like the Collaboration Tool, but they don't always know when someone is posting a note to them.  They would like to see a badge/counter icon appear at the top of their screen if a new message is posted to one of their Collaboration Rooms, especially if they don't have the Room(s) visible when a new message appears.
