Delete an attachment from the html 5 viewer?
How can I delete an attachment using the html5 viewer?
Sometimes I see an X beside the attachment that allows me to delete it. Other times the X is not there. I'm trying to figure out what is sometimes allowing me to delete an attachment and other times is not.
In the image I've pasted you will see a valve selected that has attachments. I have seen in the past an X to the right of the attachment so that if I click the X the attacment is correctly deleted. Now it is gone and I'm not sure why. Anybody understand this behavior and how to toggle it on/off.
The image above shows the service operations allowed include Delete.

If you go to the ArcGIS REST endpoint of the service, does it list 'Delete Features' as a capability?
for example -
https://maps.langd.org/arcgis/rest/services/District.... (I cannot see the rest) at the bottom of the page , you should see something like this:
Supported Operations: Query Query Top Features Query Attachments Add Features Update Features Delete Features
Ensure Delete Features is present on the REST endpoint.
Also, in version 2.8 of the viewer a change was made to hide the delete X button from non-feature service layers, it's possible a bug was introduced with this change,

The Delete features is there.
My version of Essentials: 4.9.2.46
Html5 viewer version: 2.10.10 -
Well it is working again now. Here is what I did but not sure what worked:
- closed and opened the site
- Edited the Map in Geocortex essentials
- Removed the layer from the layer list
- Dragged the NG Valve from the Feature Service into the layer list
- Applied and Saved the site
- Edited the layer and checked the show map tips, allow query, and include in global search
- applied and saved the site
What I'm guessing worked is the layer had to be dragged from the Feature Service, not the map service. However when I edit the layer I cannot tell if it is a feature service layer or not (my lack of knowledge).

I have delete features enabled on the feature service. it appears you can't delete attachments just the whole feature? I am able to add attachments and edit the attributes.
Essentials I am using 4.6.2.34
