How to compare two workflows for differences?

When i try to recreate the example workflows I'm unsuccessful, but I can't see any differences. It is very difficult to compare screens because they can't be viewed side by side and you can only see one value at a time. I also cannot export the json files and do a winmerge as the order and Ids can change. I'm finding Workflow 5 impossible to debug. What am I doing wrong?
