Core Diagnostics folder (Repost) - Manager for ElasticSearch
This is awesome!
This was nested in another article and so glad I found it so wanted to repost for others encase they need it:
There's a new tool in Essentials 4.7 that might make this a little easier. It's called Manager for ElasticSearch, and it can be found in your Core Diagnostics folder (C:\Program Files\Latitude Geographics\Geocortex Core\Diagnostics\Manager for Elasticsearch). Note that this is a third party program, and not supported by Latitude Geographics!
1) Open Manager for Elasticsearch, and click Connect to connect to the local ElasticSearch database
2) On the right hand side, look for the docs_geocortex_essentials_users_documents index
3) Select the document type
4) In the main panel, you can see all the documents contained within that type. This includes Saved Projects, and Collaboration Rooms. The Title column contains a list of the titles of the saved projects. Find the one you are looking for and click on it
5) In the lower panel, you can see the document as a JSON tree. At the very bottom, you can see a siteID property, and a viewerID property. Double click on the field to edit the value. Press Enter on your keyboard when you are finished.
The new values will be written into the database right away. You should see the changes reflected immediately in your sites.
I hope this helps!
Thanks,
Danny

Hi Dylan,
As you may have discovered, that tool is no longer functional due to license issues. There is another tool however called GeoPost, it is useful for issuing commands to Core. A list of example commands is available once you open it.

Wayne - I did not notice that. Been doing research before migrating 150 projects to a new server and identity store. Setting up a Dev server this week to test.
Playing around now Manager for ElasticSearch seems to run no problem but a bit limited. Any recommendations on "GeoPost" using the GET/POST functions to batch change SITE ID, USER ID, CONTENT OWNER, & shared with?0 -
Hi Dylan,
I am afraid I don't. We would normally pass this type of case to our Professional Services team so a developer familiar with the intricacies of Elastic Search could look into it.

Thanks Wayne. I am opening a support request from Professional Services. 0 -
Wiley Osborn not sure what happened to your post that I got in my email on this thread.
Jaz Hall helped me from Geocortex support. He can help you as it's very custom, but generic too so he can adapt him and I's learning toward your needs. We had a lot fo success moving projects. Seems a little bit winky with Collaboration Channels.0
