Pass url parameters to recenter map

Hi I am using Essentials 4.6.3 and HTML5 Viewer 2.7.2

 

I would like to launch viewer using url parameters by either

 

1) passing the center coordinates, scale

 

2) run a workflow specifying the arguments

 

I would like to be able to do the above without starting the viewer every time, as this takes a while to start. Ideally the first time, it will start the viewer and on subsequent url requests, it will simply launch the workflow or recenter the map

 

Has anyone tried this? Any suggestions ?

  Hi Ravin,

   

  The launch URL for an HTML5 viewer will accept a limited number of arguments, if you want to pass and use an argument that isn't in the list you will need to use a startup workflow to capture and use the arguments.

  The launch URL with arguments will always result in a viewer reload, to avoid this you would need to use a workflow and launch it from a button within the viewer, as opposed to using a startup workflow and passing in arguments.
