Rendering (previewing) services in Geocortex takes more time than other web mapping application,

 

 

 

For example, in a test environment, I consumed that same layer in both Geocortex and Cityworks. It appears that the performance (display, pan, zoom, etc.) of the service in Cityworks is a bit better than in Geocortex.

 

 

 

Is there a specific reason for this?

  Hi,

   

  There is no specific reason for this, there are too many variables to objectively compare the performance of our HTML5 viewer against a different viewer. I'm not aware of any testing that we do with our viewer against other providers.

   

  Please note that I've noticed IE 11 to behave differently than other browsers so this may just be an unfortunate reality of using an older web browser with newer technology (HTML5).
