We have a script set up where a returning user of the map viewer will only see this disclaimer popup window once every 30 days or if they clear their browser cache before that time period.

Seems to work properly in both IE and Chrome for me.  How are you determining if they have been to the site before?

Maybe they have their browser set to clear cookies on close. Or just blocking cookies altoegther.

Browser cache. If they have a browser history of visiting the site, then the script executes accordingly. After 30 days or if they manually clear their browser cache, then the disclaimer will pop up again.

I have the Firefox browser on my workstation set to 'Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed' for testing purposes. Working fine on my end. Changed Browser Privacy > Content Blocking to Custom > Choose what to block > check box for both Trackers and Cookies options. One thing I changed on the Cookies options was from 'Cookies from unvisited websites (that setting has no issue)' to 'All cookies (will cause websites to break).'  Opening map viewer with the latter settings never goes past the splash screen, so I am wondering if the public user is inadvertently using the wrong terminology (disclaimer window) to describe the splash screen.

    Appreciate the feedback!  -SJE
