Secure a search table

How would I secure a data connection and search tables when using ArcGIS Enterprise (portal) as my Identity server? I would like any logged in user to be able to access the search tables, but not anonymous users. I can set permissions for the data links and searches built off the tables using the permissions settings, but it appears not the tables themselves, which means I have to disable the global search on those tables to avoid exposing the data. We aren't in a position to use windows integrated security for Geocortex. The data connection type is SQL client. Using GE 4.10.3.23. Any insights appreciated.

  Hi Piper,

   

   

  If you have configured the sharing settings in your Portal to only allow known users to access those tables, then I think you will get what you're looking for.  Users would log in to the viewer with a Portal identity and then could access the tables, and anonymous users wouldn't generate a portal access token to make queries against the table.

   

   

  If you are seeing secured data when searching then that's a bug!  Please report it to support@geocortex.com and we'll work to get it resolved.
