Changing the background color of the toolbar label toggle button

Hello, 

 

Does anybody know how to change the background color of the toggle button for the tool labels?  I have tried several different things in css, but nothing has worked how I want.  

 

I tried changing the background color of ".gcx-toggle .input-checkbox:checked + .input-label:before", but it covered up the white checkmark.  I then tried adding a background image, but it was not centered and created some funny little boxes.

  try setting the background color in the gcx-toggle css class.  that will change the background color of the box surrounding the check mark and toggle button.
