How to remove the started selection capability

We recently upgraded to GVH5 2.12 and I have been asked to disable the starred selection capability, but I'm having a hard time figuring out how to do so. Does anyone have any tips? In particular, I need it removed from the map tips. Thank you.

  I just figured it out myself. In the config file search for SelectionStar. Change "enabled" to false. Easy pesy!
