Essentials Not Releasing Memory
I have a windows server 2019, the only thing on it is Geocortex Essentials and its components. Over the past week or so I have noticed what I believe to be a memory leak with essentials. When I restart the server and run essentials it will run at about 60% memory. However as I slowly make changes to viewers in essentials manager the memory creeps higher and higher but is never released. The only significant change I've made is to open up geocortex to accept ArcGIS portal logins (through the post installer),
For example the memory starts at 60%. If I make a small change to a feature description on manager it will jump to 65 (the IIS worker processes are consuming these resources and not returning them) and not come back down. Another change its into the 70s, ect ect until it eventually hits close to 100% and just crashes the system until I reboot then we start the process all over again.
Has anyone experienced this type of behavior before, and how did they deal with it. I've done some logging and traced all the behaviors back to Geocortex, I'm just not sure how to stop it from occurring.
Basic specs: GE 4.10.3.32 I'm planning to upgrade to 4.12 next week to see if that will fix it.
VM is windows server 2019, 8GB memory, 4 cores.
.net version is 4.6
VM is fully up to date with patches, updates ect.
Thanks!

Hi Shawn
Were you able to get to the bottom of this? I am facing similar issue with one of my environment

Hi Arish we have not figured this one out yet. We rolled back our VM to before the issues began to occur and I'm going to try to recreate in a dev environment for testing. 0 -
Thanks for the reply Shawn, we are trying to figure it out as well and will let you know if and when we have a resolution. I would suggest to log a case with Latitude though.

We are having similar issues running GE 4.12 on Windows 2016. Prior to the upgrade this was not occurring. The memory associated with EssentialsAdministrationAppPool4 continues to grow as we make edits in essentials manager and its not released until the AppPool is recycled. 0
