Modify arcgis javascript version of essentials viewer

Hi,

 

Is it possible to change the version of Esri JavaScript that the Essentials Viewer points to?

If so, could someone direct me to which file has that reference?

  Hi Kevin,

   

  While it is possible to deploy different versions of the Esri JSAPI with the viewers, this will introduce issues in the functionality of the viewer. With each updated version of the JSAPI, we thoroughly test the viewer to ensure no changes in behaviour are seen, but there generally is, and code changes are required to fix them. Changing the referenced version within the viewer is a complex process.

  We're looking to do this simply as a test to prove/disprove a theory.

  The results of the test will determine if we need to upgrade to a newer version or its an issue elsewhere.

   

  Can I take you comment to mean there isn't just 1 file we can update to flip the version for a specific viewer?

  No problem. You are correct that it's not as simple as a file replacement. If there's a specific issue that you are seeing, let me know what it is and the version you are seeing it in so that I can check to see if it's been fixed in a later release.

   

  You might also be able to find this info within the Release Notes.
