Workflow to apply custom layer labelling

Hi,

We have a scenario whereby we would like to offer the user a workflow that presets labelling options for a layer (e.g. a workflow presents a form with label options, user selects one of the given label formats, then wf applies that labelling to the layer).

Would this be possible in WF5 (or WF4 if needs be)... and if so what activities could be used to achieve the actual (re)labelling of the layer based on the selection made?

So far I have come up short in looking into how to achieve this.
