Show image service values in legend?

Is there a way to show the symbology of an image service in the Layer List? I am unable to do so as there is no legend swatch, nor does it show up in the legend. I do see the proper behavior when viewing the layer in AGOL for example, with the same image service.

 

 

I have tested this in both 4.12.2 and 4.8.2.

  This is a pretty fundamental issue, why no response? I don't see it in 4.14.3 as of now... There's no way to include a swatch anywhere. There's the ability to add a layer hyperlink, but there's no way to access the layer hyperlink in the layer list.
