User is being asked for certificates on accessing the map, which never loads

    Do you happen to know what operating system and browser this user is trying to access your viewer from?

    Thank you for the quick response, Stefan. The user is in a remote office served by a third-party IT support service. All I know is they have tried Chrome, IE, Edge, and Firefox, with all four behaving in the same way.

     

     

    Before I saw your reply, I opened support case #02427849 with Esri Canada. I will post the solution here

    We had a similiar issue when chrome/IE updated their security on browsers.

     

     

    You user can add your site as a google trusted site https://support.google.com/chrome/forum/AAAAP1KN0B0BLOivjDTTW0/?hl=en&gpf=%23!topic%2Fchrome%2FBLOivjDTTW0

     

     

    You may need to work with your third party I.T to add your map as a trusted site, or a proxy

     

     

    We had issues with links having security warnings within our map, we used the workaround here

    The problem turned out to be a virus on the user's machine.
