Offline Maps vs. Map Areas vs. sideload non-TPK files
We are starting to explore building mobile solutions. We are running Geocortex Essentials version 4.12 and most current versions of the on-premise 5-series products (i.e. Mobile, Workflow, etc.).
We plan to build a Geocortex Mobile solution, but short of using the "map area" capabilities, can one use the "Offline Maps" that are generated through the HTML5 viewer?
Also, other than building/using a TPK file and side loading it, can one load in a shapefile, file Geodatabase, GeoPDF, other data sets?

Hi Mike,
Offline maps are a concept specific to Geocortex Essentials and are not usable in Geocortex Mobile. Map areas are currently the only available solution for working with offline data but we are currently adding mobile map package support in the next release.
Thanks, Stefan

Hi Stefan,
I have just come across this question whilst researching offline maps in GxM by comparison to GMAF. Could you please confirm what mobile map package support is available in the current release of Geocortex Mobile?
Thanks,
Harry

Hi Harry,
Geocortex Mobile 5.9 supports offline map areas from ArcGIS Online and Portal for ArcGIS, TPK, VTPK, TPKX, MMPK, and MMAP files.
Thanks,
Stefan
