Get layer visibility of layer nested in a folder

In GVH, I can use the Get Layer Visibility activity to get the visibility of a mapservice or an individual layer. However, if the layer is nested inside a folder, the folder's visibility is not taken into account. So even if a layer is not visible to a user, Get Layer Visibility can still return true.

 

In workflow 4, there was an option to get the Effective Visibility, is there something similar in workflow 5?

  Any updates? It seems that in 5.29 the Get layer visibility is returning the effective visibility, but not the state of the layer itself. 

  I want for instance to turn off a layer within a folder that is turned off. With set layer visibility to false, nothing happens as the activity already thinks the layer is turned off.

  I'm also wondering if there's an update for this. I remember asked a similar question about this probably 4 years ago.
