New Chrome and drawings not exporting

Hi all,

 

Is anyone else having issues with the latest Chrome versions and potential mixed content??

 

It seems to be very picky about what it will download from the client - ie. Drawings seem to be requested, but the .zip file is just ignored and never shown to be downloadable. 

 

We have tweaked our workflows to output GP Service-based https urls, and have no issues, but internal urls genereated by Geocortex (4.9 / 2.11 html5) are all http and I think are ignored by Chrome. The same Export Drawings tool works in MS Edge however....

 

 

Is there a way of ensuring all requests in geocortex are generated as https?

    We have recently come across the same problem here, zip file downloads being ignored in Chrome.  I have checked through the GXE site(s) in question, under GXE 482 and GXE 4122 and all map service urls in use in them are https. Am now struggling to work out what else I can do - did you have any luck at your end?

    It looks like there is quite a bit of configuration to do to potentially resolve this...we will see how far we can get at this end and will let you know the outcome.

    No worries Kay...

     

    I actually just did the steps then on a new test geocortex server I was building up... It works!

     

    I just followed the steps

     

    1 - install the certificate via IIS (I was guessing a bit here, but basically just imported it and set the bindings - this was done on the 'default web site' - I left the host name blank

     

    2. Configured the geocortex settings file based ones...

     

    3. Ran the geocortex post install steps (move the https host up to the top of the list in step 7 of  instructions.. and then enable https for identity server

     

     

    I didnt worry about steps 5 or 6.. only the geocortex part of the equation... 

     

    I tried the drawing download, and it works well in chrome.. and it triggers a https request which is good!
