Are there any plans to add multipoint to the geometry picker?
I want to use a geometry picker to get the user to select a number of locations on the map. This might be one or it might be 20+.
At the moment we do this with multipoint in a capture geometry task in essentials workflow/ it's efficient and easy for the user.
The Workflow5 equivalent is so painful. If I have to add 15 points, that's 30 clicks with a big mouse movement to and from the form/map for each one. Rather than just a quick handful of clicks within my map extent. Can we add multipoint OR is there a keyboard shortcut so that we can still just click click click?

Hi Lauren,
Thanks for your feedback. I'll pass along your suggestion to the development team.
There was a previous thread around this topic that might be helpful: https://communities.geocortex.com/s/feed/0D5f200005V38HuCAJ
Also, please create an Idea on the Communities for others to vote on.
Thanks, Stefan

gonna have to agree with Lauren here...

This is still incredibly painful and is genuinely blocking our progress with Workflow5 replacing existing workflows. If anyone comes across this and agrees - could you please upvote the idea

Thanks for the link Stefan but that doesn't have any relevance to improving the collection method - only questions around using the resultant geometry from the single-point collection.

Hi Lauren,
I've attached a method for being able to select a point then auto-activate the next Geometry Picker in the form, which should be able to be done up to any number. You'll likely still need to merge them into a multipoint depending on your use case, but hopefully this helps.
Thanks, Stefan

Thanks Stefan, that's a really interesting approach! I'm going to have a play and see what I can make of it.
I still think that auto-activating the next point within the same Geometry picker, or a multi-point option, would be significantly better for both the user and developer. So I'm hoping that it's in the list of improvements for the developers to look at.
With this method (definitely better than nothing!) I'll have to configure at least 50 Geometry pickers or come up with some kind of loop where I reload the form once it reaches the end. Often the users only need ~10 or so but there are scenarios where they need many more.

For anyone interested, I've tweaked stefan's example to suit our scenario - just need to add a bunch more geometry pickers. it is attached to this comment.
(a "copy/duplicate form element" option here would be fantastic)

Hi there,
For reference, the Idea link is here: https://communities.geocortex.com/s/ideas#0875x000000br94AAA
Thanks, Stefan

Hi Lauren MacLean. The attachments seem to have been lost in the forum migration. Are you able to send me your tweaked workflow?
Thank you!
Belinda

I'd like to see this also, as it's a key requirement in moving from the old workflow to the new. This was pretty simple in the old

Throw an Activate Form Element activity into the Geometry Picker's .change subworkflow.
