Can not edit features and attributes in GCM

I've been trying to set up a layer in a GCM map so that the user can click on a feature in a layer and edit the attributes of that existing feature. They also need to be able to add a new feature to that layer and fill in the attributes for it.

 

I have the service and layer set up for feature access and when that layer is in the Enterprise Portal webmap the features in that layer a fully editable. But when I add that layer to a GCM map the edit button does nothing. The edit button does show up but clicking it doesn't work. Also, if I try to add a new feature use the add feature button it never loads the layer list to select a layer to add a feature too.

 

I see no errors anywhere and I am logging in with an admin/creator account all around. What is wrong, why can't I edit?

  I think I may have figured it out. I had removed the add feature and update feature components from the GCM designer in the past since we didn't have editable layers. Apparently those are needed in order for the edit button to work, even though is still shows up.
