How can I connect to nationalmap.gov services?

I'm unable to add nationalmap.gov services to my app. Specifically,

Error is simply: "Connection failed." but I can view the meta in a browser.

Are these valid arcgis services? should I be able to connect? how can I diagnose?

I'm using GCE 4.12.0.64

Hi Ethan,

I was able to successfully connect to the map services in 4.12 on my test VM.

What version of Windows Server are you currently running GE on and has it been configured to support TLS 1.2?

Windows 2012 R2 and it looks like TLS 1.2 is not configured. I'll configure that. and see if it solves it.
Btw, I've updated GCE to the latest.

Updating to TLS 1.2 didn't seem to change anything. Are these your settings?

I had been testing this on a development instance and it turns out the production instance also needed to be updated and once I did that it worked.
