Is there any plan for markup support in Studio Go?
Is there any plan to add markup support in Studio Go? It would be a huge help to my users to be able to draw points, lines, and text on the map that saves to their device. A bonus would be the ability to share those markups with other users via email, similar to how ArcGIS Field Maps supports them.

Hi Max,
Yes, this is something we are actively working on. Our initial implementation will be surfaced in our next 5.19.0 release, and will have some rudimentary capabilities exposed via commands only at this point - no provided user interface other than the ability to draw a shape. You would be able to configure the symbol and geometry type through command arguments. The idea is that you could configure a button or a workflow that exercises the commands. There will also be a command to clear markup. Fair warning - some of the user interactions are expected to change in upcoming releases. Out of the box UI is also expected in future releases. The ability to share markup is also something that we're anticipating.
The ability to export a map image to a PNG file is already available via the "map.export-image" command (https://developers.vertigisstudio.com/docs/mobile/api-commands-operations-events), and any markup that is drawn on the map will also appear on the export.

@... - I know the commands are there for mobile with 5.19, but is there any progress made on the other aspects of sharing and OOTB UI related to Markups?

Hi Nelson,
Phil from the Mobile team here. I can answer your question. We did make available samples of some markup Workflows which you can find in this blog article here to help get you going:
https://vertigisstudio.com/how-to-configure-markup-workflows-in-vertigis-studio-mobile/
And that export-map command Jeff mentioned does include any markup graphics. As soon as the command is run, the export is automatically opened. You could make use of the native OS sharing mechanisms to distribute, like this on iOS:
We haven't made any progress on some OOTB tools, as our team has been hard at work upgrading our platform to the next generation of our tech stack in support of the new Esri ArcGIS Maps SDK 200.X series. Once that work is done, we'll be moving on to other work. I'll bring this up with our team to see where a good place might be for this in our future planning.
Thank you for your question,
Phil
